POSITION SUMMARY

To assist in testing, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of apparatus and special equipment related to metering.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Lead Electrical Tech

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Meter Technicians with installation of three phase metering equipment.
• Accurately follows instructions for testing and programming all meters by ANSI and CEMC standards using computer driven calibration equipment.
• Performs computerized testing/programming of AMR devices.
• Accurately inventories metering equipment.

The Metering Tech shall be required to perform any other duties assigned to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.

• General Public: To represent the Cooperative in a positive manner.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Job Knowledge and Training: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills and Abilities: Must be able to learn and perform first aid and CPR. Must have good written and oral communication skills and must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.

Equipment Operated: Must be able to use a computer in Windows environment and to retrieve data from various electronic devices. Must have valid driver's license without violation, which would prohibit insurability.

Physical Effort: Must be physically fit to walk and perform job duties over all terrain and in all environments. Must be able to lift and move 25 to 35 pounds.

Working Conditions: Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, outside weather conditions, and close proximity to energized high voltage equipment.
